Our Staff


 Pastor John Erwin and his wife Rita came to Hopewell Church the day after Christmas, 2000.  They have three sons, two daughters-in-law and two granddaughters (and 3 grand-dogs!).  John was born in Texas, but moved quite a bit, winding up in Birmingham, Alabama.  There he met Rita at college, who had come all the way from Flanagan, Illinois to meet him (college was just an excuse).  They each graduated from Southeastern Bible College, got married, and went to Dallas, where John also graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary.  He served churches in Fort Wayne, IN and Eureka, IL before coming to Hopewell.


 

 

 

Adam Boylan and his wife Angela started at Hopewell on August 28, 2011.  Adam is serving as the Director of Music as well as the Director of Youth.  Adam and Angela have no children and they currently live in Fort Wayne.  Adam has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from IPFW in Fort Wayne and he is in his third and final year at Grace Theological Seminary where he is completing an Mdiv in Pastoral Studies.  Angela graduated with a BSN in nursing in 2009 from Saint Francis University in Fort Wayne and she is currently a Registered Nurse at the Parkview Heart Institute in Fort Wayne.  Angela is originally from Wisconsin but moved to Indiana so that she could meet Adam (not really she was only one when she moved).  Adam was born and raised a Fort Wayne Hoosier.  (Go Cream and Crimson!)  Adam has served as a youth leader and praise band leader for the last 7 years at a church in Fort Wayne before coming to Hopewell.
