Our Staff

Pastor John Erwin and his wife Rita came to Hopewell Church the day after Christmas, 2000.  They have three sons, two daughters-in-law and one granddaughter (and 3 grand-dogs!).  John was born in Texas, but moved quite a bit, winding up in Birmingham, Alabama.  There he met Rita at college, who had come all the way from Flanagan, Illinois to meet him (college was just an excuse).  They each graduated from Southeastern Bible College, got married, and went to Dallas, where John also graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary.  He served churches in Fort Wayne, IN and Eureka, IL before coming to Hopewell.

Becky Hull is our Worship Director, joining the staff in November 2008. She was born and raised in Auburn, IN, and attended IPFW as a music therapy major. She currently lives in Huntertown, IN and is the proud mother of two girls,  Chelsea and Caitlin. She also has a son-in-law who tolerates her and has a Shihtzu puppy named Lily. She is a full time vocal and piano instructor, teaching for the last 12 years. When not seen at Hopewell, Becky enjoys travel and photography. 

 




 Holly Harris is our Youth Director. Holly grew up at Hopewell and graduated from DeKalb High School before attending and graduating from Huntington University with a BS in Business-Accounting in 1999. She has worked with middle and high school students through Youth for Christ's Campus Life programs since her college graduation. She has been fortunate enough to participate in mission trips to Jamaica, Mexico and Kentucky.
